App identity.
This privacy policy applies to the app Tarot: Scan Cards & Journal, also shown as Tarot Journal (package name: com.play3rs.tarotia), published on Google Play under the developer name Play3rs (contact: support@z-ax.com).
The app works without an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or location.
Your spreads, questions, notes, statistics and settings are stored on your device by the app. Drawing cards, the classic meaning of each card, entering your own cards by hand, the journal and the card reference work on your device and send nothing to us. A backup file or a text export leaves your device only when you save or share it yourself. If you use your phone's backup feature, your device may include the app's data in that backup.
When you choose to photograph your spread, the app tells you before sending anything, then sends the photo you took or selected (reduced in size) and a randomly generated device identifier to our server, hosted on Railway. Our server relies on OpenAI, which acts as our processor, to recognize the tarot cards in the photo. Only the list of recognized cards comes back to your device. The photo is used for this recognition only and we do not keep it on our server once the answer has been returned. Avoid photographing people or personal documents together with your cards.
When you ask for an in-depth reading, the app sends the cards of your spread, their positions, the question you wrote if any, the tone you chose, your language and the random device identifier to our server, which relies on OpenAI to write the reading. The same applies to a follow-up question, which is sent with a summary of the reading it refers to. The text comes back to your device, where it is stored in your journal. These requests are used only to return the reading; they are not used for advertising and are not sold. The random identifier is used only to limit abuse and daily use of the service; it is not an account and not an advertising identifier. Do not write health, financial or other sensitive details about yourself or another person in your question.
In-depth readings are texts generated by artificial intelligence, for reflection and entertainment. Each one has a "Report this reading" action. A report sends us the text of the reading and the reason you chose, so that we can review it and improve our safeguards.
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled on your device. No notification is sent from our server.
Users who have not paid for ad removal, a subscription or the lifetime purchase may see ads. Subject to your consent, AdMob may process your advertising ID, device identifiers, app usage and ad interaction data, diagnostics and coarse IP-based location to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland a Google consent form (UMP) is shown before any ad is requested; you can change your choice in Settings, Privacy choices.
Packs of readings, subscriptions, the lifetime purchase and ad removal are processed by Google Play, which handles the related purchase data; we never receive your payment details.
If you installed the app from a creator link, the app sends install and purchase events to our attribution service IST7, linked to a random installation identifier generated by the app (not your advertising ID), together with the creator code from the Google Play install referrer and, for a purchase, the product and purchase token (never an amount, your readings, photos, name, email or location).
The Google ads and billing SDKs may collect crash and performance data.
No sale of data. We do not sell personal data and do not build profiles.
Not for children. The app is not directed to children.
Not advice. Tarot is offered as a tool for reflection and entertainment. The app does not predict the future and does not give medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
