App identity. This privacy policy applies to the app Calm Notes: Mood Journal (package name: com.play3rs.calmnotes), published on Google Play under the developer name Play3rs (contact: support@z-ax.com).
Calm Notes works without an account. Your mood check-ins, journal entries, notes and settings are stored only on your device (app storage). We do not ask for your name, email address or any identifier, and we do not have a copy of your journal.
In the current version, the supportive replies shown in the app are written in advance and selected on your device: the text you write is not sent to any server. If a future version offers replies generated by an online AI service, this policy will be updated before that version is published, the feature will be clearly labelled in the app, and only the text you choose to send for a reply would be transmitted to our server and its AI provider to produce the answer, without your name or any account.
If you turn on daily reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device (notification and boot permissions). No data leaves the device for this.
When you export your journal, a file is created on your device and handed to the Android share sheet. You decide where it goes (Files, Drive, email...). We never receive it.
If a version of the app shows ads (Google AdMob), then, subject to consent, AdMob may process your advertising ID, device identifiers, ad-interaction data and coarse IP-based location to serve and measure ads; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland a Google consent form appears before any ad loads. Ads are never shown on the check-in, chat, exercises or crisis screens. Purchases or subscriptions, if offered, are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your payment details.
Calm Notes is a wellbeing journal, not a medical device, therapy or emergency service. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number.
The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children.
Everything the app stores stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete entries in the app, and uninstalling the app permanently deletes all its data. No user data is retained on our servers. See how to delete your data.
